This 1977 album is by Sir Shina Adewale and His Super Stars International, a group led by Shina Peters and Segun Adewale, two Nigerian musicians who would later achieve fame as hitmakers in Afro-Juju. Both sides feature long medley-style tracks, common in Nigerian dance music like Juju and Fuji. With repetitive guitar, intricately chopped percussion, and call-and-response vocals, it's a masterpiece that showcases earthy, swirling Juju sounds from before it became commercial pop. You can feel the genesis of Juju expanding its style by incorporating elements like Afrobeat. Highly recommended. This is a very hard to find record with artwork different from the commonly distributed version.
