The Revolutionaries are a Jamaican band that has recorded extensively as a backing band for Channel One studios, featuring Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Earl "Wire" Lindo, Ansel Collins, and a host of other talented musicians. Produced by Linval Thompson, the album features a polyrhythmic, African-inspired beat and a laid-back, open Caribbean vibe with dubwise mixing. It is a masterpiece among masterpieces. Noboru Yamana wrote the liner notes for the Japanese version released in the same year. It shows how reggae/dub music was treated in Japan at that time.
