Theo Blaise Kounkou is a Central African Congolese (formerly Zaire) singer who has worked with the Benin Afro-Latin band Orchestre Poly-Rhythmo De Coutou (reissued on Acid Jazz) and Sam Mangwana's L'African All Stars. This album was probably released in the late seventies. The A-side is a jazz-inflected rumba congolese with a light rumba beat, a flowing electric guitar solo by Master Mwana Congo, a simple but tasteful tenor saxophone melody by Guadeloupean saxophonist Eddy Gustave and a falsetto chant by Theo Blaise that gently grooves. The two B-side tracks are Afro-beat like soukous with a nice groove. A very pleasant piece from start to finish.
