This album by the Trinidad Cavaliers Steel Orchestra was produced by The St. Augustine Rotary Club, which was founded in 1968 to support the people of Trinidad and Tobago. It features covers of American hit songs such as “Aquarius” and “Yellow Bird,” performed in a soothing ensemble of metallic steelpan sounds. Among the highlights is the final track on the album, “Gallopade,” a piece said to have been inspired by outer space and composed by Bobby Lennox, one of the top arrangers and composers of steelpan music in Trinidad and Tobago.
