Audio check recordings released by Philips in 1978 during the heyday of home audio in Japan. Various sounds are recorded to check left/right localization, panning, trackability, wow flutter, resonance, bandwidth, phase, etc. Almost sounds are generated by analog synthesizers, and are composed, arranged and recorded by Goro Awami, Bach Revolution, Bingo Miki, etc. The music ranges from cosmic synthesizer music and jazz funk to sound effects, sessions with a live band, and enka (traditional Japanese ballad), with sound checks in a wide variety of styles.
