This album is introduced in the guidebook "OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION”. It was released in 1983 by Yasuaki Shimizu & The Saxophonettes, a personal project by Shimizu, a Japanese saxophonist who has been active in the Japanese jazz fusion scene since the mid-1970s and has been constantly exploring new music as the times change. The Saxophonettes is basically a project by Yasuaki Shimizu himself, although there are several saxophonists in the group now. This album, the first under this name, has a personal sound makeup with multiple recordings of synthesizers and strings, mainly saxophone. It covers American standard numbers, but the backing track is completely electronic. This is an original work that perfectly combines a retro feel with cutting-edge electronic sounds. The sound is outstanding compared to other Better Days' works.
