This album was released in 1975 by Yoshio Nakagawa, the second son of Fujisha Shuho, the head of the Fujisha school of flute, and the brother of Fujisha Suho, who released the famous "Glass Flute" in 1979. This album is from the "Denon PCM Recording" series, which introduces PCM recording, the latest technology promoted by Denon at the time. This is an excellent work that expresses the possibilities of Nohkan with a contemporary approach, from classical pieces to original compositions by Yoshio Nakagawa, including a solo flute performance, an ensemble with percussion, an ensemble with musical accompaniment by Kasanku Kenda, and a piece featuring the Fresh Noble Orchestra. A5, with its five-note scale melody and musical rhythm, has a uniquely Japanese groove that is similar to Yasuaki Shimizu's 1981 masterpiece "Scarecrow. B5, a mood-jazz-like session with a melancholy string orchestra, is also excellent.
