Contemporary musician/composer/pianist Yuji Takahashi, who studied music theory under Iannis Xenakis and is active worldwide alongside Toshi Ichiyanagi and Toru Takemitsu, performed piano works by composers of the New Viennese School such as Arnold Schoenberg, Anton Webern, and Alban Berg. The album was recorded at Shinkawa Kumin Kaikan and Columbia Studio 1 in 1977. The New Viennese School was an avant-garde music movement that established atonal music and the twelve-tone technique in the early 1900s, and it has a lyricism and romanticism unique to the West. How you listen to it is up to you.

A1: Arnold Schoenberg “Fünf Klavierstücke, Op.23”
