An album released in 1983 by American pianist David Lanz, who has roots in jazz, rock, and classical music, and was influenced by Eastern philosophy, leading him to embrace the New Age genre. As suggested by its subtitle—“Graceful, impressionistic piano solo… an ecstatic celebration of the heart”—the album presents a serene and beautiful world through solo piano pieces that evoke the soft hues of impressionist paintings without exaggerated contours, and recall the French impressionist music of the late 19th century, such as that of Debussy.
