The first album by Kamal, a project by German synthesist Martin Oberschelp, released in 1984. Although a rather obscure artist, Kamal continued releasing New Age works at a slow pace until around 2010. Like other artists on Nightingale Records, this album presents melancholic and dreamy New Age synthesizer music, centered around shimmering, sparkling tones throughout. The style blends in a crossover touch reminiscent of artists like Tyndall, who released works on Sky Records, or Digital Dance, a classic by Software released on Innovative Communication — which was also featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. The minimal rhythm programming and lush, floating synthesizer tones are particularly pleasant on tracks B1 and B2, which resemble Breeze by Atlas — a kind of summer-breeze electronic mellow fusion. These tracks resonate well with today’s New Age and vaporwave aesthetics.
