German composer and synthesist Klaus Netzle—known for works such as Yearning & Harmony with Tri Atma and Silicon Valley with Raven Kane—released this solo album in 1986 on the prestigious German contemporary music label Wergo Spectrum. Being a mid-1980s production, it features a very characteristic synthesizer sound heavily utilizing FM synthesis, reminiscent of Vangelis’s work from the same era. Standout track B2 offers colorful ethnic electronics with percussion beats resembling tabla sounds and synth tones evocative of the Peruvian zampoña. Track B3 is also excellent, featuring an electronic new age sound with emotionally rich, subtly ethnic-inspired melodies. Track B4 is particularly wonderful—soft pad textures and delicate electronic details blend with flute-like synth tones to create an organic soundscape that evokes the image of a forest morning.
