Nordso & Theill
Music For Dreams (Denmark) 2017
ZZZV17015 (LP)
sleeve : EX(Several very small dents in the upper part of the back surface.)
media : EX/EX-(side B has a few small and slightly wear that does not affect to sounds.)
An album released in 2017 on Music For Dreams, a label run by Kenneth Berger, by the duo of Mikkel Nordsø—who has been active as a member of groups such as Buki-Yamaz—and drummer Ole Theill, known for his work with Alpha Centauri and the Jan Kaspersen Quintet. The album features percussionist Jacob Andersen, his daughter and singer Caroline Franceska, and Indian flutist Shashank Subramanyam. Blending ethnic instruments such as tabla, oud, and ngoni with synthesizers and guitar, the work presents an ethnic ambient sound. However, Nordsø's guitar still carries a hint of rock, evoking a distinct Nordic atmosphere characteristic of Scandinavian musicians.
