Founded in the U.S. in 1983, Narada was a new age/healing music label often mentioned alongside Windham Hill. This promotional, not-for-sale album was produced for the Japanese domestic release of the label’s catalog. It features eight selected tracks from David Lanz’s Nightfall, Spencer Brewer’s Shadow Dancer, Michael Jones’ Seascapes, Teja Bell Group’s Summer Suite, Gabriel Lee’s Seasons, and the compilation Human Music. While the album mainly centers on serene piano pieces, A3 by Gabriel Lee, with its flowing acoustic guitar melodies gently topped with finely textured synthesizer tones, is especially pleasant. B1 by Teja Bell Group, where acoustic instruments and synthesizers form a beautifully balanced harmony, is also highly recommended as a fine piece of new age music that still feels perfectly suited to the present day.
A3: Gabriel Lee “Running Dance”
B1: Teja Bell Group “Summer Song”
