This is the second album by American singer Caroline Peyton, released in 1977. In the early 1970s, she was active as a member of The Screaming Gypsy Bandits, a band influenced by Frank Zappa. While rooted in country and folk, the album incorporates a wide range of styles including soul, funk, disco, and jazz, creating a richly diverse and captivating sound. Peyton’s lustrous and straightforward vocal tone blends beautifully with the excellent backing performances.Rediscovered in the late 2000s, this hidden gem was reissued in the U.S., U.K., and Japan. Highly recommended.
