This was featured in the first edition of the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND. Album released in 1981 by Dutch-based Indonesian singer Daniel Sahuleka. The tracks are reminiscent of the New York sound with a soul/funk/disco format, and Sahuleka's exceptional vocal work, which ranges from low to high frequencies, is evident in many of the tracks. A2 is the most captivating of all, an adult-orientated tropical tune with a lush sound of percussion and electric piano, and vocals as sweet as those of Argentine rock king Luis Alberto Spinetta. Cut in delicate sound quality, this Japanese pressing from Woorell Records was released in 1982.
