This is the 1st solo album released in 1979 by American singer-songwriter/producer Jimmy Messina, who went from being a recording engineer for Buffalo Springfield to a band member, and after the band's breakup, worked with Kenny Loggins for a long time. Produced with session musicians active on the West Coast, this masterpiece features a refreshing sound production reminiscent of Mackey Feary, the king of Hawaiian mellow groove, and groovy arrangements in the style of West Coast soul/funk, all blending together to create exquisite adult-oriented rock. Highly recommended.
