This album, released in 1978 by Italian singer-songwriter Umberto Balsamo—who stands shoulder to shoulder with Alan Sorrenti—was featured in the first edition of the guidebook Obscure Sound. It opens with mellow rock tracks (A1/A2) that blend a gentle groove reminiscent of German artist Richard Schnider Jr.’s gem Dream Like Land with lush, wet synthesizer sounds. Throughout the album, you'll find groovy adult-oriented rock rich in melancholy and emotional depth. While Balsamo would go on to explore a brighter sound in his 1979 release Balla, this album strikes a perfect balance that resonates well with today’s mellow sensibilities. It features a uniquely rich sonic texture that can only be heard in Balsamo’s works from this era. Includes a 12-page gatefold booklet. This is the original first Italian pressing.
