An album released in 1972 by French actor Bernard Verley. This is the second installment in the series following Rimbaud C’est Toi – Le Bateau Ivre, released earlier the same year. Backed by the psychedelic rock band Catharsis, Verley delivers dramatic recitations of poems by 19th-century poet Arthur Rimbaud, a pioneer of Dadaism and Surrealism. The combination of Catharsis’s freaky jazz-rock sound and Bernard Verley’s intense, almost shouted recitations is striking. Side A’s extended track A1 is an overwhelming swirl of psychedelic madness—an absolutely wild ride.
