This is a 12-inch single released in 1984 by Coil, a side project formed by John Balance and Peter Christopherson in 1983, as part of Psychic TV. It explores the theme of "ritual music for the accumulation of male sexual energy" by creating moiré patterns of harmonics generated by striking metal percussion instruments such as gongs and cymbals. It blends primitive tendencies with avant-garde art in a 17-minute continuum of metallic drone music. Highly recommended. Some versions of this release include a different track on the B-side, but this one is a single-sided pressing.
