Featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. This is the first solo album by David Cunningham, who was a leading figure in the experimental pop group The Flying Lizzards during the flourishing UK New Wave scene of the late 70s and early 80s. On side A, Cunningham and the other musicians each made a mistake while repeating a particular phrase, and if they didn't correct it with a further mistake, they had to continue playing the mistake itself as the basic phrase, which was a rather complicated but brilliant technique. Side B is a minimalist piece of pneumatic sequenced minimalist music that repeats itself along a random sequence of numbers 1 to 3. The idea behind this is the minimalist music of Haruno Hosono's early-mid 1980s works and Ryuichi Sakamoto's classic album Esperanto. The fact that it is properly established as music is amazing.
