Released in 1988, this is a masterpiece solo album by Gianni Nocenzi, an Italian multi-instrumentalist who was an early member of the progressive rock band Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso. The album is a magnificent work that showcases his unique and unique sound world through meditative imagery and aggressive acoustic construction using AKAI digital samplers MPC 60, S900 and S700, AKAI synthesizer VX90 and Yamaha DX-7. The Italian version of the album uses "holophonics," a sound technology developed by Argentinean engineer Hugo Zuccarelli that has been adopted by Pink Floyd to create a three-dimensional sound effect. The principle of holophonics is shrouded in mystery, but it is thought to create a three-dimensional sound by adjusting the differences in localization and volume to an extremely fine level.
