A true masterpiece and the first solo album by Brazilian composer/pianist Lelo Nazário, released in 1982. Nazário was a core member of Grupo Um, known for their legendary albums Marcha Sobre a Cidade and A Flor de Plástico Incinerada, and also collaborated with key figures from São Paulo’s "strange scene" such as Arrigo Barnabé. Side A features an 18-minute-and-34-second solo piano performance—a richly expressive piece that evokes the avant-garde spirit of contemporary classical music. Side B presents an imaginative, free-form improvisation in an unconventional trio format with two bassists—Zeca Assumpção and Rodolfo Stroeter, both also members of Grupo Um. Highly recommended on both sides.

A: Lagrima
B: Sursolide Suite
