An album released in 1990 by Szemző Tibor, a member of Group 180 who left behind the masterpiece Snapshot from the Islands in 1987, and Másik János, a member of the jazz-rock group Dimenzió. This release is a selection from the soundtrack of András M. Monory’s film Meteo, with Side A featuring tracks by János and Side B showcasing compositions by Tibor. The album unfolds an imaginative experimental wave throughout, blending electronic sounds from synthesizers with flute, trombone, and custom-built instruments to create a highly cinematic experience. Infused with strong ethnic nuances, it builds a deep and immersive world from start to finish. In particular, track B4 delivers an intensely striking oriental sound reminiscent of Snapshot from the Islands. Highly, highly recommended.
