Meredith Monk, a voice performer born in Lima, Peru and based in the U.S., released her sixth album from ECM in 1987. The album features a total of 10 vocalists, and features string instruments such as violin and piano, as well as synthesizers. While the free voice improvisations heard on their other works are still present, this album focuses on perfection as a composition, and you will be drawn in by Monk's other-dimensional performance of magical voicings with beautiful but somewhat melancholy piano and violin melodies.
