A bizarre masterpiece released in 1984 by American contemporary musician Mikel Rouse, who has also released albums on Belgium's Crepuscule. This is an insane rhythm music work composed entirely of beats created using the Linn Drum. In reality, it is said to be a performance lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes, consisting of nine sequenced parts played by either the Linn Drum (or 18 percussionists). Even on this album, you can catch a glimpse of that complexity, as both sides feature over 10-minute-long tracks with overwhelming waves of intricate rhythm patterns. As time progresses, your consciousness gradually syncs with the machine-like rhythm, creating an intense sense of minimalism. A dangerously hypnotic album—highly, highly recommended.
