The latest album by the Italian maestro Walter Maioli, known for his significant contributions as a key member of Aktuala in the 1970s alongside Lino Capra Vaccina and Trilok Gurtu, and his numerous idyllic avant-garde music creations, including Futuro Antico with Riccardo Sinigaglia in the 1980s, has been released in 2023. This album, featuring unreleased recordings from 1982 to 2008, has arrived from the cutting-edge label Villa Lontana Records in Rome. The collection includes 12 tracks, showcasing Maioli's primitive cosmic perspective through outstanding compositions. Among them are sources created for the Milan Planetarium in 1991 and collaborative works from 1981 with Riccardo Sinigaglia and Gabin Dabre, reflecting Maioli's unique and compelling musical universe. Needless to say, this album comes highly recommended.
