Featured in both edition of the guidebooks Obscure Sound. This album was released in 1990 by Zann, an obscure and ultra-underground group formed in Dortmund, Germany, on their own independent label. It was discovered as dead stock archive copies during I visit to Dortmund in 2009. Utilizing a vast array of traditional instruments from around the world—such as gongs, gamelan, xylophones, berimbau, and tablas—alongside synthesizers, tape edits, and sampling, the album unfolds as an organic yet experimental world music journey. A brilliant work that covers everything from chillout to dance. Wholeheartedly recommended from start to finish.
