The Rhytm Boxer
Dear Heart (Japan) 1985
MIS-503 (LP)
sleeve : EX-(SRW, color-faded on one side.)
media : EX+/EX+(some slightly surface noises, still good condition.)

This is a one-off project by Nobuyuki Shimizu, a keyboardist who arranged EPO's debut album "Down Town" and also worked as an arranger and session musician, and Shuichi Ponta Murakami, a famous drummer. Released in 1985 as a 12" single, featuring Pecker and Chris Mosdell. The title track is an electronic dance-rock track that is on par with Trevor Horn's "Frannkie Goes To Hollywood," which probably used a lot of Fairlight, and has a mid-80's sound production. It is amazing that they were doing this in Japan. B1 is an electro-wave dance tune with a pop sensibility, featuring a woman named Mikan-chan and Pecker on vocals. B2 is a reprise of A1, but this one is more experimental and definitely better.

B1: Digi-Voo
B2: The Rhythm Boxer II
