Bewegliche Ziele

Featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. This is the one and only release by Plaza Hotel, a one-off unit formed by Wolfgang Spelmans of the German new wave group DAF together with vocalist Tabu, issued in 1985 on the private Delphin label as a 12" single. Guest appearance from Can drummer Jaki Liebezeit. Liebezeit’s tight, percussive shuffle drumming locks in beautifully with Spelmans’ lazy guitar and keyboard work, while Tabu’s coquettish vocals move effectively across the mix. A truly obscure dance tune that fuses a solid new wave sound with the kind of dubwise sensibility heard in acts like Maximum Joy. A serious recommendation. Original German pressing on yellow translucent vinyl.
