This is the first single released in 1984 by Praxis, one of the many projects of Bill Laswell, one of the leading figures in the abstract music scene since the 1980s. The project that would later expand to include a variety of artists, but this is Bill Laswell's own pursuit of abstract music, using DMX, turntables, vinyl, tape, and shortwave radio to create everything from electro to noise ambient, collage, and scratch. This is a glimpse of the early electro music that came out of his interaction with Afrika bambaataa and the early hip-hop/electro scene.
