This album was released in 1985 by Sahoua Marinette, an Ivoirian singer living in France. A1 has a laid-back rhythm with jazzy sax and keyboards, A3 and B2 has a medium-tempo tight shuffle beat with wet electric guitar and piano, and Marinette's poetic vocals grooving slowly. The arrangements by Benn's Ndine, a percussionist who has also worked with Francis Bebey and Manu Dibango, are excellent, creating a unique groove with elements of funk, jazz, rock, and reggae. This is the type of African music that you don't hear anywhere else. Highly recommended.
