Bengt Hambraeus
Concrete and Synthesizer Music
McGill University Records (Canada) 1976
76001 (LP)
sleeve : VG+(SRW, TEOC, wear on edge and corner.)
media : EX-/EX-(some slightly surface noises caused by slightly wear and hairline.)

Album released in 1976 by Bengt Hambraeus, a composer/musicologist from Stockholm, Sweden, who has been active in the field of electronic music since the early 50s and has worked in electronic music studios in Cologne, Munich and Milan. A1 is a tape-edited orchestral music concrète, A2 is a tornado of white noise electronic sounds generated using Moog synthesizers and modulars. B1, which is over 14 minutes long, uses sine waves, pulse waves and sawtooth waves to express the rising and falling motion of the tides. The tremendous sound stimulates the sense of hearing and gives a full feeling of a trip. Recommended.

A2: Tornado
B1: Tides
