Original soundtrack album for Alan Parker's film "Midnight Express" with music by Georgio Moroder, a pioneer of the synth/electro disco sound known as the Munich Sound. The unique arpeggio synth with repeated scale shifts and mysterious melody line of A1 "Chase," produced by multiple recordings of multiple sequencers, is a masterpiece that was inherited as a re-initial format of Italo/electro disco that would later create many followers. This is one of the milestones of synth disco, with a wonderful development consisting only of minimal tone changes and impressive melodies, rather than flashy tones and phrases. The exotic atmosphere of Istanbul, Turkey, where the film is set, is also reflected in the excellent soundtrack, which can be enjoyed throughout the album. Beautiful Japanese vinyl with obi/insert included.

B3: Cacophoney
