This is the original soundtrack album for the animated film Animalympics, released in 1980. The music was composed by Graham Gouldman, a member of the British rock band 10cc. Highlights include A1, a lively boogie track with excellent vocal harmonies; A5, which features African percussion beats and choral elements evoking a continental feel; and B4, an experimental track with cosmic synthesizer sounds. This album is a fine example of Gouldman’s musical sensibility, brilliantly blending 10cc-style pop craftsmanship with experimental touches.
