After graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Jay B. Jay went on to establish a recording studio in Israel with friends, running a full-scale recording business. This album stands as his one and only release for Innovative Communication, the label founded by Klaus Schulze. From the gentle, evocative A1—opening with softly lapping waves and distant seagull calls before unfolding into expansive, spacey synth landscapes—to the rest of the record, this is a beautifully realized work of New Age electronics. Utilizing era-defining instruments such as the Roland D-50 and Yamaha TX81Z, alongside an Atari ST 1040 computer, the album delivers warm, transparent synthesizer tones throughout, emblematic of late ’80s New Age production at its finest. Among the highlights, B3 is particularly stunning, featuring delicate chime-like synth arpeggios, majestic choral textures, and organic percussion. This copy is the US pressing, originally released in 1989 on California-based Chameleon.
