This album was released in 1971 by Morton Subotonick, an American composer who used electronic instruments, interactive computer music systems, and other media to create a number of innovative electronic compositions, including "Silver Apples of the Moon" and "Touch". The album is over 29 minutes long on both sides, and is composed of electronic sounds synthesized by a type of early synthesizer known as an "Electronic Music Box," which generates moiré and drones by modulating an accumulation of swirling pulses. The Japanese edition is a quadraphonic version with a very thick core of electronic sounds conclusively engraved. The back of the jacket features a commentary by Japanese composer Yoriy Akira Matsudaira.
