This is the second solo album by former Van Der Graaf Generator bassist Nic Potter, released in 1986, following his collaboration with Guy Evans on The Long Hello in 1981. Tracks like A3, with its machine drums effectively using delay and melancholic synth phrases, and A4, featuring ethnic rhythms from electric percussion and symphonic keyboard sounds, give off a British prog-rock feel. True to its title, the album offers a collection of light, sketch-like tracks, performed in a simple, synth-driven arrangement, making it a well-crafted piece.
