A solo outing from 1977 by German composer/musician Peter Michael Hamel, one of the key figures behind the avant-ethnic ensemble Between. This is the Japanese pressing issued by RVC in 1982, featuring unique artwork distinct from the German and US editions. Recorded in parallel with his activities in Between, the album unfolds a profoundly meditative, trance-minimal sound world: A1 ventures even deeper than Terry Riley into spiritual, contemplative terrain; A2 offers hushed acoustic minimalism pointing toward the path later explored by Stephan Micus; and the side-long B1—over 23 minutes of undulating synthesizer and organ waves—draws the listener into an inner-cosmic journey. An endlessly deep, mind-expanding meditation masterpiece.
