This is an album released in 1982 by Japanese composer and multi-instrumentalist Takashi Toyoda, known for his participation in the Taj Mahal Travellers and numerous New Age works. Created as the original soundtrack for a commemorative film celebrating the 115th anniversary of Kōbō Daishi Kūkai's passing, under the sponsorship of the Kōyasan Shingon sect, this work features a mandala-like sound world crafted with extensive use of synthesizers. The fantastical synthesizer music rivals that of Tangerine Dream and Krautrock electronics. The sound quality, utilizing Master Sound, is also impressive. This is a beautiful copy with all original accessories included.
