A very rare record has arrived. This album, released in 1985 by Turkish folk instrumentalist Arif Sağ, is featured in the guidebook 'OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION,' which also highlights the masterpiece 'Turkish Folk Songs - Uzun Hava & Üsküdara' released the same year. In 1980, to perform in the special concert "Songs and Romance of Distant Travelers" as part of the Min-On Silk Road Music Festival, Arif Sağ visited Japan along with Mehmet Özbek and Ümit Tokcan. They recorded this album in King Records' studio, making it an exclusive Japanese project. The album features performances of Turkish folk songs in two expressive styles: Uzun Hava and Kırık Hava. Throughout the album, you can hear incredible performances using a variety of folk instruments, centered around the bağlama and cura, string instruments with an egg-shaped body and a long neck. This is a highly recommended record.
