An album released in 1979 by L. Subramaniam, an Indian violinist/composer from Chennai, South India. He possesses a background in both traditional Carnatic music and Western music and has collaborated extensively with jazz figures such as Stu Goldberg, Larry Coryell, and Stephane Grappelli. The album features a collaboration with the great mridangam player Palghat T.S. Mani Iyer, showcasing three tracks of typical South Indian classical music. It is a work to be thoroughly enjoyed, with the sound of the violin weaving melodies through improvisation, backed by the drone of tambura player Vijaysree Subramaniam and the rhythms of the mridangam.
