Opera du Cameroun
Ocora (France) 1986

sleeve : EX(SOC, slightly dirts on rear.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly surface noises.)

This album was released in 1978 on the prestigious French label Ocora, which has released many ethnic music works, and was recorded in the jungles of Cameroon in Central Africa. This was recorded for a program produced by Jose Pivin in collaboration with Radio France International, featuring himself, Toto Bissainthe, and other spokespeople. The sounds of the natives' conversations, washing clothes by the riverside, percussion and singing (rituals?), and various other sounds that come from their daily lives are recorded along with environmental sounds such as insects, birdsong, thunder, water, etc. This is a masterpiece among masterpieces, in which a very mystical world unfolds throughout the entire recording, enveloping the listener in a sense of presence as if he or she were there.
