This is the second album of Sufi music from Egypt, released in 1979 on Ocora, one of the best labels in Europe, which has many field recordings of ethnic and local music from around the world. The album features the excellent performances of Kudsi Erguner, a nay player who is well known as a researcher of not only Turkish but also Pakistani and Indian music, and has performed with many artists of different genres such as Peter Gabriel and Michel Portal, and Nezih Uzel, a frame drummer who is one of the leading researchers of Sufi music. There is a pressing error on A1 and a series of noises on one part, but there are no needle skips.
