This album was released in 1974 by Nouso-Kai, a group led by Yoshitake Aoyagi, who was active as a member of the Tokyo Cuban Boys and later became the chief priest of Nouso Hachiman Shrine in Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Nouso-Kai is a taiko drum group formed in Aoyagi's hometown of Chikuho to restore the spiritual climate of the Japanese people by capturing Nouso-Taiko with a modern sensibility, and all the songs on this album were composed and arranged by Aoyagi himself. A1 is a restoration of the ancient drums used to inspire morale in warfare, A2 is an arrangement based on a children's song, and A3 is an arrangement of shishigaku from the autumn festival to celebrate a bountiful harvest. Highly recommended in all tracks.
