The Japanese koto player Shuretsu Miyashita, who was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 1975 and the Order of the Sacred Treasure in 1982 for his contribution to the development of hogaku (traditional Japanese music), also contributed to the development and popularisation of the 30-string koto. A1 is a 16 minute long trio with the koto, shakuhachi and sanjugen, while A2 is a solo koto performance by Tazuko Miyashita, inspired by Noh theatre, using atonal sounds, percussion and strikes on the back of the koto. Two of the pieces on the B-side have vocal accompaniment: B1 is "Braille Poem", which combines Sanjugen and Koto with a song by Koichi Tajima; B2 is a chorus by the Tokyo Mixed Chorus and an ensemble of seven Koto players.

A1: 三十弦・箏・尺八三重奏 寂
A2: 箏独奏曲 縁
