This is an album by Indian sitarist Subroto Roy Chowdhury, released in 1983 on German jazz label Enja, with sessions with Asit Pal (tabla) and Sera Senthilnathan (Tanbula). side B is a traditional raga called "Sudh Basant", which transitions from 16 beats to 12 beats. The meditative sound of sitar and tambura and the solid sound of tabla fill the space in a world of sound mandala. The recording is also excellent.
