A very intriguing record has arrived in stock. This album, released in 1974 under the supervision of the 22nd-generation Noh drummer Komparu Soemon and leading Noh researcher Shozo Masuda, is a supplementary work on the instrumental accompaniment of traditional Japanese chanting and dance, as well as the structure of Noh music. In addition to variations of musical accompaniment for entrances and dances, it also includes pieces related to Kyogen. Highlights include the unique solo flute performance in A1 from the Kita School's Tsunemasa/Toride, the ensemble of flute, small drum, and large drum in C1 from the Kita School's Fuji Daiko/Kyōran no Gaku, and the Kyogen-specific musical accompaniment in D2, which differs in both musical structure and instrumentation from the Noh-Kagura. This album offers not only captivating performances but also an overview of their historical context. The sound quality is exceptionally high.

C1: 富士太鼓・狂乱ノ楽
D6: 狂言神楽
