This album was released in 1982 and features works by Kishio Hirao, a Japanese composer who was born in 1907, studied voice and counterpoint in Paris, France in the 1930s, and after his return to Japan, published a series of orchestral and chamber works, but passed away in 1953 at the young age of 46. Performed by Haruna Hirao (pf), Ryu Noguchi (fl), and Yoko Kubo (vn). A1 is a piano sonata in three parts, with a very impressive melody that overflows endlessly. Side A2 is a sonatina for flute. Side B is a three-part violin sonata with an Argentine tango feel. The commentary says that it reflects the inner spiritual conflicts, and I think it has a unique beauty with a hint of sadness.
