This is a masterpiece album released in 1978 by Susumu Miyashita, a 30-strings koto player and a composer of modern koto music whose works transcend the boundaries of the classical repertoire. The B-side, "Message" for 30 strings solo, is a self-performance piece composed by Shin Miyashita himself, who plays cymbals, shinadora, kin, bansuri, and other instruments in addition to the 30 strings. All of them are radical contemporary Japanese music that no longer gives the slightest hint of classical music, but at the same time feels very organic. It is nothing short of amazing.
