sleeve : EX-(TEOC, some wear on edge and corner.)
media : EX-/EX-(some slightly noise. some slightly wear that does not affect to sounds.)
A leader album released in 1971 by Swiss jazz pianist Joe Haide, whose spiritual approach clearly carries forward the lineage of John Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders. Recorded as a trio with fellow Swiss musicians Isla Eckinger (bass) and Pierre Favre (drums, percussion), the session took place at a Stuttgart studio run by pianist Horst Jankowski in Germany. Highlights include the gently drifting, floating groove of A2, and B2, where Favre’s richly ethnic-inflected drumming truly stands out. Throughout, the record reveals a cool, contemporary sensibility quietly embedded within a post-bop framework—an outstanding and highly recommended release. This copy is the 1979 reissue on EGO Records, the label founded and run by Haider himself.
